✿ ABOUT ✿
Hi! My name is Nancy, creator of Nanshii Studios!
Here's my little backstory of how I got to where I am now. ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

I've always been drawing since I was young, with countless Deviantart accounts and Instagram accounts along the way. In July 2021, amidst the crazy years of COVID and lockdowns in Melbourne and working full-time as a pharmacist, I decided create an outlet to share my art to the world. And this was when Nanshii Studios began! I started off just drawing my favourite things, starting with a cute penguin with yummy food, and then Pokemon, Sanrio, Animal Crossing, Ghibli, and many more things. At the start I tried to post pretty much everyday. This allowed me to push myself into drawing new things, to stay consistent and improve on my skills. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
After seeing a number of artists on social media making their cute art into stickers and stationery, I thought to myself "Hey, I should do that too!" That's when I decided to get a Cricut and make my little drawings come alive into stickers. Then I launched my online shop in March of the next year! I started off with just things made at home with a printer and Cricut, like die-cut stickers, sticker packs, sticker sheets and mini prints. Then later on I decided to branch out to getting things printed professionally and things like charms and pins manufactured externally.

Then in 2022 a little market called Mellow Art Market popped up and that got me thinking about selling my art in person. However, my nerves got the best of me and I didn't end up applying for their very first market. Luckily, they had another event later in December! After much debate, I decided to just go for it. It was such a lovely first experience and the support I received was so encouraging. Mellow definitely holds a place dear heart for providing such a wonderful first experience, and bringing a loving community together, that has helped foster growth in me as an artist and a person~ ♡´・ᴗ・`♡

From doing one market in 2022, I went to doing three in 2023, including two that were in Sydney! Then in 2024, was when I did seven events, including a few markets and artist alleys at conventions. One of my biggest highlights was definitely being able to table at SMASH! I had attended the event in 2022 and 2023, and it was absolutely surreal being on the other side and selling my art at a table in the artist alley. Now in 2025, I have more time to focus on my business and am aiming to do an event once a month hopefully (and maybe in some other states too)! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و
It's definitely had its moments, where I've been stressed out in trying to finish new things in time for events, or where I've had no motivation to work on my business after being tired after my full-time job. However, I've had so much fulfillment from all the things I have achieved along the way and all the amazing people I've met has made it absolutely worth it. I really couldn't have done it without everyone's support along the way, especially my partner who has been by my side the whole time, helping me pack stock, do table mock-ups, giving me motivation, running my market table and much more. (⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝)
Anyhow, that's a little rundown of the history of Nanshii Studios~ I hope to continue to create new things that can bring a smile to your face ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ ) Hopefully I can also inspire to go on your own art adventure and try something new or pursue something you love! You can do it!!
I'll definitely continue to bring new products to every new event and also explore new crafts and mediums, so stay tuned!
